Precision Forming with CNC Press Brakes
At Crenshaw Die & Manufacturing, our CNC press brake services deliver consistent, high-precision sheet metal forming. From single prototypes to high-volume runs, our process is engineered for accuracy, repeatability, and efficient production.
Our press brake services include:
| Capability | Details / Application |
|---|---|
| Press Capacity | From 20 to 35 tons (multiple machines) |
| Tooling Length | Up to 10 feet continuous tooling length |
| Minimum Tool Width | Tooling segments as narrow as 0.250” |
| Hemming & Over-Bending | Ability to fold, hem, and overbend parts to compensate for spring-back |
| Auto Back Gauging | Accurate placement for bend locations, reduces manual repositioning |
| Programmable Bend Allowance | Software control accounts for material behavior (spring-back, stretch) |
| Retractable Stops / Fixtures | Flexible tooling for complex bend geometries and interference avoidance |
By offering our CNC forming services together with stamping, machining, water jet cutting, and sheet metal fabrication, we can:

We work with aluminum, stainless steel, mild steel, and various sheet alloys, in both prototype and production volume projects.
Quality is central to our CNC press brake services:
A CNC press brake is a machine that bends sheet metal by pressing a punch into a die. With computerized control, it can execute precise, repeatable bends automatically.
Over-bending means bending slightly past the target angle to offset spring-back. As metal elastically recovers, it settles into the correct angle.
Hemming is folding an edge of sheet metal back onto itself, creating a smooth, safer edge (e.g. for enclosures or panels).
We bend flanges, brackets, panels, offset bends, jogs, break-down folds, and other bent features for housings, frames, enclosures, and more.
Retractable stops can move in or out of the way during bending, allowing flexibility when bend sequences or shapes would otherwise interfere with static fixtures.
